  7.  40 CFR 180.940   Tolerance exemptions for active and inert ingredients for use in Antimicrobial formulations (Food-contact surface sanitizing solutions).   Residues of the following chemical substances are exempted from the requirement of a tolerance when used in accordance with good manufacturing practice as ingredients in an Antimicrobial pesticide formulation, provided that the substance is applied on a semi-permanent or permanent food-contact surface (other than being applied on food packaging) with adequate draining before contact with food.
 (a)     The following chemical substances when used as ingredients in an Antimicrobial pesticide formulation may be applied to: Food-contact surfaces in public eating places, dairy-processing equipment, and food-processing equipment and utensils.
(b)     The following chemical substances when used as ingredients in an Antimicrobial pesticide formulation may be applied to: Dairy processing equipment, and food-processing equipment and utensils.
(c)     The following chemical substances when used as ingredients in an Antimicrobial pesticide formulation may be applied to: Food-processing equipment and utensils.
 (d)     180.940 also permits on site generator of electronically produced Hypochlorous Acid for on site use and can not be repackaged or resold to anyone else according to the EPA

NEWater Sanitizer (Anolyte)Anolyte creates a healthier work environment. This non-toxic, GREEN solution is proven to be more effective than Chlorine (HOCL) against bacteria, viruses, noroviruses, molds and other microbiological organisms.  It effectively reduces and/or remedies multiple safety issues that plague facility operations, such as, transmission and/or cross-contamination of pathogens between staff, patients, visitors, equipment, food, etc.

While NEWater Sanitizer (Anolyte) replicates the bactericidal power and strength of “other” chemical based agents, its proven technology and natural elements (water and salt) provide a strong sanitizing solution without the use of toxic substances (such as chloramines, formaldehyde or iodine).   The active components in NEWater are non-toxic, non-irritant, biologicially harmless and eco-safe.

NEWater Sanitizer (Anolyte) properties:

  • Consistently pH neutral 6.8 to 7.2
  • Stable chlorine based oxidizing solution with Oxidation Reduction Potential of +800mV
  • Free available chlorine of 350-500 MG/L

To date, no virus, bacteria or mold has been able to develop any adaptive resistance to Anolyte.  Further, when NEWater Sanitizer is applied at different dosing strengths, it may be used for virtually all types of sanitizing needs.  Low doses can be used to clean and maintain a central water system free from bacteria to include purification of drinking water.  A medium dilution is ideal to sterilize the overall workspace environment and also applicable in food processing.  A stronger solution can be used for additional and numerous applications.  Inquiries are invited to learn how NEWater’s many applications can meet individual customer’s specific needs.  For details, please “Contact Us”.

NEWater Cleaner (Catholyte)

The primary function of Catholyte is to dissolve and remove grease, bio-film, fats and other caked on debris.  Use of Catholyte in the work environment may greatly improve or remedy, for example, the following types of situations:

  • Storage/use of chlorine and other chemical cleaners in the work place can create an extremely toxic atmosphere posing significant health hazards and safety risks for employees.
  • Accidental spills or incorrect mixing can result in chlorine gas (potentially fatal), chemical burns and/or severe lung damage in a matter of seconds. NEWater products virtually eliminate or radically reduce chemical use as it is not harmful to humans.
  • Management could potentially benefit directly through decreased health insurance premiums.  Fewer claims may, also, bring marked improvement to risk mitigation and the “bottom line”.

NEWaterCleaner (Catholyte) properties:

  • A degreasing solution with surfactant proprieties
  • A pH of 12 to13
  • Oxidation Reduction Potential of –900mV.

Applications for NEWater:

  • Fogging:  Effective against airborne bacteria, viruses and other micro organisms.
  • Electro Static Fogging: A negatively charged solution is introduced into the air which seeks out positively charged surfaces. This causes larger areas to be treated more effectively.
  • Humidifying: Introduce the solution into a forced air humidifying system to sanitize the air in a confined space such as an office building, cruise ship or airplane.
  • Mold Remediation: Even though this is a water based solution, mold is killed on contact (can be used in conjunction with electrostatic fogging.)
  • Dosing: Reduced amounts of solution can be introduced into the water system to sanitize incoming water in a facility for use as drinking water or for food safety.
  • Concentrated: The solution can be used as a cleaner or sanitizer without the risk of harm to higher organisms.
  • Frozen: Can be dosed into ice machines–creating sanitized ice.
