Consumers should be cautious about any information given by different suppliers on respective websites concerning their disinfecting devices and should carefully consider the source of any claim made therein.  All consumers are strongly advised to conduct their own independent research about the reliability of Intellectual Property Rights, trade-marks and/or references as stated before making a purchase decision.

In addition, consumers are advised to obtain legal advice from the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) in order to verify whether disinfecting devices from other suppliers meet Section 3 of the Pesticide Regulations under the Federal Insecticide Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) and whether other suppliers of disinfecting devices have a registered EPA establishment number.

Note:  NTS devices are approved by the EPA under EPA Establishment # 85215-PA-001 and meet FIFRA regulations.

Further, consumers should be aware that under Section 7 of FIFRA, each owner of a pesticide device must produce to the EPA enforcement program a report (in standard report form) of products produced each and every year and to whom they are sold.  Devices purchased and used in the USA are subject to labeling and misbranding requirements under FIFRA section 2(p) and 2(q); registration and reporting requirements under FIFRA section 7; record keeping requirements under FIFRA section 8; inspection requirements under FIFRA section 9; import and export restrictions under FIFRA section 17; and child resistant packaging requirements imposed pursuant to FIFRA section 25 (c)(3).
